Garam Masala Ribs

Ingredients
  • 2 onions, cut into rings
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Garam Masala*
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) salt
  • 2 packages of duBreton back ribs
Preparation steps
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375oF (190oC).
  2. Place 2 large rectangles of tinfoil on work space.
  3. Place an onion on each rectangle.
  4. Mix spices with salt.
  5. Rub ribs with spice mixture and place over the onions.
  6. Close tinfoil tightly and place on cooking sheet.
  7. Cook in oven for 2 hours and 30 minutes or until meat can be easily separated from the bone.
Note

Barbecuing

Over medium heat, cook foil baking parcels on the barbecue for an hour.

*Garam Masala is a spice mixture made up of : cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, fennel, salt and pepper. +brown sugar, onions and garlic powder
