Sausage and Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich (hot or cold)

Ingredients
  • 4 Panini Rolls
  • 2 65 gram packages duBreton Sopressata Dry Sausage
  • 2 fresh Mozzarella balls, sliced
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) marinated eggplant, drained OR marinated artichoke hearts, drained
Preparation steps
  1. Cut rolls in half without going all the way to the back and open like a book.
  2. Fill rolls with dry sausage, mozzarella, basil and marinated eggplant.
  3. Close rolls and serve with soup or salad.
Note

For warm sandwich :

Warm in frying pan over medium heat, 3 to 5 minutes each side or in the oven at 375oF (190oC) for 5 to 10 minutes.
